About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Sales Director to join our team at Jobot. As a Sales Director, you will be responsible for leading our Sales and Catering team to maximize revenue opportunities for our luxury hospitality company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a sales team of 5-8 employees to achieve revenue goals and exceed budgeted revenues.
  • Qualify incoming leads, create and send proposals, contracts, and addendums, and negotiate group business using available marketing and sales resources.
  • Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rentals, function space costs, and hotel services in line with approved booking guidelines.
  • Establish payment methods, collect initial deposits, and begin the direct billing process before transitioning to the Event Services Manager.
  • Track and follow up on outstanding proposals and contracts to close business effectively.
  • Process and route definite contracts.
  • Assist in developing sales forecasts and budgets, collect and report sales data, and manage the department budget.
  • Create target lists and action plans for account solicitation, and assist in the assignment and distribution of leads and inquiries.
  • Conduct property tours for meeting planners and potential customers, showcasing hotel services. Host clients during site inspections, pre-planning visits, and program operations when appropriate. Complete site tour forms in advance to inform the hotel.
Requirements
  • MUST have experience in luxury hotel/hospitality markets.
  • Must Have Leadership and management experience of a sales team.
  • Customer Service Skills: Exceptional ability in managing customer relations and feedback.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Strong oral and written communication abilities, effective conflict resolution, and collaborative teamwork skills.
  • Problem-Solving Aptitude: Proficiency in identifying and addressing challenges, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Professionalism and Ethical Conduct: Demonstrates professionalism, ethical behavior, and adherence to organizational values and policies.
  • Relevant Experience and Qualifications: Experience in the hospitality industry, particularly in event planning, with a preference for candidates with a college degree and a valid driver's license.
