What You Will Be Doing:

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Compliance Specialist - GRC to become an integral part of our team. In this pivotal role within the CrashPlan Information Security Team, you will contribute to the governance, risk management, and compliance initiatives. We advocate for intelligent security practices, and in your position, you will explore effective methods to manage risks, ensure regulatory compliance, and collaborate with teams to enhance security measures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Formulating and executing policies, procedures, and controls to mitigate risks and guarantee adherence to relevant regulations
  • Performing security and privacy risk evaluations and identifying potential vulnerabilities and consulting opportunities
  • Overseeing compliance with regulatory requirements and industry benchmarks (e.g., SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, NIST 800-53, GDPR)
  • Conducting internal assessments to verify compliance with regulations and industry standards
  • Managing the compliance reporting framework
  • Maintaining documentation and tracking for identified information security and privacy risks while collaborating closely with risk owners for remediation
  • Executing regular business continuity and disaster recovery drills
  • Assisting with external audits, collecting and reviewing evidence, and liaising with auditors (e.g., SOC2, ISO)
  • Prioritizing risks effectively and appropriately; challenging assumptions and methodologies
  • Building and sustaining cross-functional relationships, and collaborating with subject matter experts to determine suitable risk-based remediation strategies
What You Bring:

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field and/or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of professional experience in a comparable role
  • Familiarity with/experience in working with NIST 800-53, SOC2, ISO 27001, PCI-DSS, and/or other pertinent security frameworks
  • Understanding of/experience in conducting risk assessments, risk management frameworks, governance, and policy management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills and a relationship-oriented approach
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with FedRAMP/StateRAMP and GDPR/Privacy frameworks, along with conducting risk assessments and impact analyses
  • One or more information security or privacy certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CIPP)
