Position Summary
The Rehabilitation Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering professional nursing care to patients through the nursing process and collaborating with the healthcare team, including physicians, to ensure high-quality care.

Qualifications

Education Requirements:
Minimum of an Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).

Licensure/Certification:
Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state and BCLS certification are required.

Experience:
Preferred attainment of CRRN certification or the intention to obtain it within two years of working in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit.

Skills and Abilities:
Preferred candidates should possess basic English reading and writing skills, knowledge of body substance isolation, and the ability to assess patient functional independence using the FIM instrument. Strong listening and empathy skills are essential, and bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is a plus.
