Job Summary and QualificationsPOSITION SUMMARY:
To deliver professional nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process. To collaborate with other healthcare team members, including physicians, to ensure quality healthcare delivery.

Associate Degree, Diploma in Nursing, or BSN.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION:
REQUIRED
Current RN licensure in Texas or compact state.
Current BCLS certification.
EXPERIENCE

Achievement of CRRN or within two years of working in the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit, the nurse will take and pass the Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse examination.
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES:
PREFERRED
Ability to read and write Basic English with the necessary skills to interpret physician's orders.
Knowledge of body substance isolation.
Utilizes the FIM instrument to evaluate patient functional independence throughout the rehabilitation program.
Ability to listen, empathize, and respond to the needs of patients, families, and internal and external partners.
Bilingual in English/Spanish.
