Join us for the Rehabilitation Licensed Vocational Nurse position.Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the guidance of a registered nurse, the LVN staff nurse delivers care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
Working collaboratively with patients, their families, and the healthcare team, the clinical LVN supports the delivery of patient care under RN supervision.
What qualifications you will need:
REQUIRED LICENSURE/CERTIFICATIONS
• Current LVN Licensure valid in Texas or a Compact state.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
• Licensed Vocational Nursing or Associate's Degree.
PREFERRED EDUCATION, LICENSURE, CERTIFICATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS:
KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• Proficient in reading and writing Basic English with the ability to understand physician's orders.
• Strong listening and empathy skills to respond to the needs of patients, families, and colleagues.
• Experience in Rehabilitation Nursing is preferred.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency is essential.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and familiarity with the FIM instrument for assessing patient independence during rehabilitation.
Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
