Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the supervising Physical Therapist to gather relevant patient information and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing various therapeutic techniques and activities.
- Monitor patient conditions, ensuring safety and adherence to treatment protocols while being aware of any contraindications.
- Assist patients in preparing for therapy sessions and modalities as required.
- Deliver treatment to a diverse range of patients and maintain accurate documentation in accordance with hospital policies and state regulations.
- Communicate effectively with support staff regarding treatment directives as outlined by the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Administer physical modalities, therapeutic exercises, and gait training as specified in the patient's plan of care, adjusting treatment as necessary based on patient progress.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervising staff.
Qualifications:
- Active state licensure as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
- Prior experience in patient care is preferred.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.
