Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Part-Time Payroll & Benefit Specialist to join our team at ITW. As a key member of our HR department, you will be responsible for processing payroll, ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal and state regulations, managing timekeeping records, supporting attendance programs, and providing support to the HR Department.

Key Responsibilities
  • Payroll Processing: Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees utilizing the Ceridian Dayforce Payroll System, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Timekeeping Management: Maintain payroll records, including employee information, deductions, and timekeeping data.
  • Attendance Support: Prepare and submit payroll and attendance reports to management.
  • Training and Education: Educate and train new managers or supervisors on policies and procedures with our payroll and timekeeping system to ensure they understand their role in the systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and attendance regulations.
  • Benefits Administration: Collaborate with HR to ensure accurate employee records and benefits administration.
  • Employee Support: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll and attendance matters in a timely and professional manner.
  • Audit Support: Assist with audits and provide necessary documentation as required.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field; HR certifications (e.g., SHRM-CP or PHR) are a plus.
  • Experience: 3-5 years of previous experience in payroll and benefits administration.
  • Skills: Experience with payroll and benefits administration software, particularly Dayforce or Workday; thorough knowledge of payroll and benefits regulations, processes, and procedures; knowledge of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other voluntary benefits.
  • Personal Qualities: Ability to maintain confidentiality and demonstrate resourcefulness in problem-solving; proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in payroll processing and benefits administration; self-motivated, detail-oriented, highly organized; strong verbal and written communication skills; proven ability to work in a team environment.
