SENIOR FINANCIAL OPERATIONS ANALYST (STARLINK)

The Starlink Accounting Operations team is engineered to swiftly respond to the remarkable growth of SpaceX's global internet initiative. As a vital member of this newly established division, you will play a key role in crafting and executing a scalable, top-tier accounting framework.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Formulate both short-term and long-term strategies to enhance efficiency, precision, and scalability in reporting and analytics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define reporting and analytics requirements, engaging with teams across growth, account management, customer operations, accounting, international accounting, tax, FP&A, and software development.
  • Conduct interviews with stakeholders to gain insights into current workflows and pinpoint areas for enhancement, while producing process documentation, flowcharts, and business requirements.
  • Oversee user acceptance testing in alignment with all software development releases related to our proprietary ERP system.
  • Develop and implement the sales cycle process and systems roadmap, maintaining project momentum through the delivery of project plans, analyses, deliverables, trackers, and other essential documents.
  • Establish and uphold key accounting reports that serve as reliable sources of information across the organization.
  • Design and lead training sessions, while coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the swift rollout of new features and reporting solutions.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business, data science, or related fields.
  • 5+ years of professional experience in accounting, finance operations, or data assurance.
  • Proficiency in SQL and business intelligence tools (e.g., PowerBI).

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Experience in Accounting, FP&A, or Finance Operations within technology firms with international sales.
  • Outstanding analytical abilities and comfort with large datasets.
  • Strong presentation skills, capable of engaging with executive management regularly.
  • Experience in collaborative, multi-stakeholder projects in a global environment.
  • Passion for learning new technologies, driving process automation, and leveraging data analyses to uncover improvement opportunities.
  • Adept at thriving in fast-paced settings, effectively communicating with stakeholders at various levels, and being resourceful in ambiguous situations.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven individual with excellent interpersonal communication skills and a strong sense of accountability.
  • Proven ability to enhance existing practices, manage end-to-end processes, and optimize workflows.
  • Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python.
  • Strong skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • CPA license or equivalent credentials.
  • Strong work ethic with the willingness to work extended hours during critical periods.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Availability to work extended hours and weekends as necessary.
  • This position requires full-time onsite presence.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

Pay range:

Senior Financial Operations Analyst: $110,000 - $145,000 annually.

Your specific level and base salary will be determined based on various factors, including job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.

Base salary is just one component of your total rewards package at SpaceX. You may also qualify for long-term incentives, including company stock options, discretionary bonuses, and access to comprehensive medical, vision, and dental coverage, along with a 401(k) retirement plan, disability insurance, life insurance, paid parental leave, and various other benefits. Additionally, you will accrue paid vacation and be eligible for paid holidays each year.
