The Senior Financial Consultant will play a crucial role in the planning, monitoring, forecasting, reporting, and accounting for all projects at Space Exploration Technologies Corp.
This position is a vital financial planning and analysis (FP&A) role with visibility at the executive level, influencing expenditure and contract profitability across all product lines, including advanced aerospace initiatives.
The ideal candidate will collaborate with various departments within the organization, including production, engineering, sales, program management, accounting, and senior leadership.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Lead the forecasting of essential performance indicators (KPIs), encompassing expenditures and resource needs for designated business units, such as workforce, capital, and operational costs.
2. Predict future unit expenses in collaboration with cross-functional teams and monitor progress towards achieving cost reduction objectives.
3. Conduct specialized analyses as required to facilitate operational decision-making, from concept development through to execution.
4. Take a leading role in internal initiatives, partnering closely with peer organizations to identify key business challenges and convert them into financial models and metrics.
5. Prepare and revise capital expenditure and inventory cash flow forecasts.
6. Assist in tracking product costs and conducting inventory assessments, including waste, inventory obsolescence, and efficiency improvements.
7. Develop and refine tools to monitor revenue performance and project costs on a monthly basis.
8. Provide insights on revenue and expenditure variances, along with departmental reporting to business partners.
9. Analyze and interpret financial data for management review purposes.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5+ years of experience in a finance, accounting, or business-related role
PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, or engineering
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, applied business statistics, and modeling complex systems
- Experience in a manufacturing or technology sector
- Familiarity with reporting, visualization, intelligence, and analysis tools (SQL, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Strong presentation skills with the capability to regularly engage with executive management
- Experience in presenting analytical findings in both verbal and written formats across diverse organizational disciplines
- Ability to articulate unstructured and complex analytical challenges for a wide audience.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Willingness to work extended hours and weekends as necessary
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:
Pay range:
Senior Financial Consultant:
$110,000 - $145,000.00 annually
Your actual level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, education, and experience.
Additional incentives may include long-term incentives in the form of company stock, stock options, or cash awards, as well as potential discretionary bonuses and the opportunity to purchase additional stock at a discount through an Employee Stock Purchase Plan.

Employees may accrue 3 weeks of paid vacation and will be eligible for 10 or more paid holidays each year.
