Job Title: Accounting Manager

Axionius Federal Systems LLC is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day accounting activities, month-end close process, and identifying opportunities for process improvements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform various GL month-end close activities, including preparation and review of journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Manage the recognition and recording of revenue according to accounting standards and company policies.
  • Oversee payroll processing, ensuring timely and accurate payment of salaries, wages, and commissions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end close tasks as required.
  • Prepare and review Balance Sheet and P&L fluctuation analyses and ability to dive into the details to further investigate any variances.
  • Assist in preparing internal financial reporting schedules.
  • Partner cross-functionally with HR, IT, and various business partners to establish best practices and evaluate process and system infrastructure.
  • Maintain and enhance the internal controls over accounting processes and systems.
  • Provide a high level of customer service with finance and non-finance business partners by providing timely responses, financial insights, and relevant reporting.
  • Support the quarterly reviews and annual audit requests and inquiries from our external auditors.
  • Own and maintain various desktop procedures and ensure the observation of global accounting policies.
  • Ad hoc accounting projects and requests, as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree with an emphasis in Accounting or equivalent experience.
  • 6+ years of accounting experience in industry or public accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with supporting US Corporate Headquarters.
  • Solid working knowledge and application of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX/internal controls.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic setting while maintaining accuracy and delivering against deadlines.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and organization skills.
  • Ability to execute, follow-up, and ensure attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication (both verbal and written) skills.
  • A team player, adept at building relationships across the organization.
  • Proficient with Google Workspace (Gmail, Sheets, Docs) and Microsoft tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
