Job Title: Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join our corporate operations team at Versar Global Solutions. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our financial accounting activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage financial accounting and government cost accounting activities for multiple entities under Versar.
  • Drive the monthly accounting close process, including journal entry processing, GL account reconciliations, and preparation of monthly financial statements.
  • Ensure proper accounting for fixed assets, leases, intercompany, and foreign operation items.
  • Assist with year-end financial audit, tax preparation, and regulatory filings.
  • Support Incurred Cost Submissions, internal rates/pools, and reconciliation.
  • Implement and maintain adequate internal control policies and procedures.
  • Drive process improvements around the efficiency, timeliness, and accuracy of month-end close and reporting cycles.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations (GAAP, FAR, CAS, tax, etc.).
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 10 years of direct experience in accounting operations for a federal government contractor.
  • Proficient with Deltek CostPoint.
  • CPA preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP, FAR, and CAS.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills, with demonstrated experience with Excel.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks and meet tight deadlines.
  • Self-starter who takes ownership to identify and solve problems.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality.
What We Offer:

We offer a competitive salary range of $110,000 - $140,000 per year, as well as a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
