Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Structural Engineer to join our team at Stantec. As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will be responsible for leading cross-functional teams and managing projects of significant scope and complexity. You will apply your expertise in buildings engineering and project management to deliver high-quality results and meet client expectations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Management
    • Successfully manage projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely delivery and meeting budget and quality standards.
    • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation and scheduling.
    • Collaborate with project team members to ensure effective communication and coordination.
  • Structural Engineering
    • Apply your expertise in buildings engineering to design and develop structural systems for various types of projects.
    • Develop and implement structural design solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.
    • Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure integrated design solutions.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and manage a team of structural engineers and designers to achieve project goals and objectives.
    • Develop and implement training programs to enhance team skills and knowledge.
    • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met and exceeded.
    • Communicate project progress and results to clients, ensuring transparency and accountability.

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or related field.
    • Minimum 15 years of experience in structural engineering, with a strong background in project management.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Strong knowledge of buildings engineering principles and practices.
    • Excellent project management and leadership skills.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Autodesk Revit.

What We Offer

At Stantec, we offer a competitive compensation package, including a salary range of $123,700 - $185,600, depending on location and experience.
