The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in building design and will be instrumental in developing and executing structural engineering strategies for diverse projects. This role necessitates a comprehensive grasp of structural analysis, design methodologies, and applicable building regulations.

Responsibilities

Conduct engineering calculations utilizing computer software, spreadsheets, and manual calculations. Develop structural design documents and details using AutoCAD and Revit. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. Carry out site inspections, monitor ongoing construction activities, and assess the structural elements of existing structures. Collaborate with architects, clients, and other engineering disciplines. Evaluate shop drawings and address Requests for Information (RFIs). Execute quality assurance and quality control tasks. Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred; Engineer in Training (EIT) required. Minimum of 4 years of professional experience in structural engineering. Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Competence in Revit is required. Intermediate to advanced knowledge of structural design software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS, etc., with a readiness to learn and adapt to new tools. Strong understanding of design principles for steel, concrete, masonry, and wood. Familiarity with current building codes and standards, including IBC, ASCE7, AISC360, ACI318, ACI 530, or NDS. Excellent skills in Microsoft Office. Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team. Strong communication abilities. Proficient in reading, writing, and understanding English for effective job-related communication.

Compensation: $97,500-$114,000, dependent on qualifications.
