Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
- Perform engineering calculations with the aid of computer software, spreadsheets, and hand calculations.
- Create structural design plans and details in AutoCAD and Revit.
- Coach and mentor more junior staff.
- Perform site visits, make observations of ongoing construction progress, and survey the structural components of existing buildings.
- Coordinate with architects, owners, and other engineering disciplines.
- Review shop drawings and respond to RFIs.
- Perform QA/QC related tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Architectural Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
- PE preferred, EIT required.
- 4+ years of professional structural engineering experience required.
- AutoCAD proficiency required.
- Proficient in Revit required.
- Possess an intermediate to advanced understanding of structural design software such as RISA, RAM, TEKLA, TEDDS, SAFE, PROFIS, etc.
- Strong Microsoft Office skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively on a team.
- Strong communication skills.
- Ability to read, write, and understand English for purposes of comprehending written job-related communications and verbal instructions and interactions.
