Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at Tofel Dent Construction in Tucson. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for providing project support and ensuring the successful execution of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Support: Provide project support related to information flow, document control, records management, schedules, and compliance throughout the assigned project life cycle.
  • File Management: Establish and maintain all project engineering files related to subcontract and bid package records, plans, specifications, changes, and clarifications.
  • Communication: Respond to all requests for information in a timely manner, resolve questions, and disseminate updated information to all project stakeholders.
  • Project Management Database: Update the project management database daily with any project plan or other changes for review by all relevant parties.
  • Project Schedule: Request project updates from the Project Superintendent and monitor the project schedule to ensure the project is tracking to schedule.
  • OSHA Compliance: Enforce OSHA safety standards and company safety policies to maintain a safe working environment for all team members, subcontractors, and site visitors.
  • Logistics: Assist the Superintendent in managing project site logistics and schedules deliveries as needed in response to the needs of the site.
  • Subcontractor Management: Conduct subcontractor activity inspections to ensure that the subcontractor is following their own quality assurance procedures and report any findings to the Superintendent or Project Manager as appropriate.
  • Meetings and Minutes: Coordinate and schedule OAC meetings, document meeting minutes, and generate meeting minutes for stakeholder review.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree: Bachelor's degree in construction management or a related field.
  • OSHA Certification: OSHA 10 certification desired.
  • Software Skills: Skill with project management or related software applications (Viewpoint Team, Excel, Bluebeam).
  • Travel: Ability to travel.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Blueprint Reading: Ability to read project blueprints.
