A Landscape Account Manager is essential in overseeing landscaping initiatives and fostering client relationships. Below are the primary duties and qualifications associated with this role:

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Relations: Act as the main liaison for clients, ensuring their requirements and expectations are fulfilled.
  2. Project Management: Create and execute work plans, manage scheduling, budgeting, and staffing for landscaping projects.
  3. Quality Assurance: Assess the quality of work delivered, ensuring it aligns with or surpasses client expectations.
  4. Team Management: Mentor and supervise landscaping teams, offering direction and support as necessary.
  5. Sales and Proposals: Develop and present proposals for additional landscaping services or enhancements based on client requirements.
  6. Site Evaluations: Conduct regular site evaluations to maintain standards and identify areas for enhancement.

Essential Qualifications:

Experience: Proficient in all aspects of Site Supervision, with a background in managing multiple landscape management projects, demonstrating strong interpersonal and leadership skills.

Language Proficiency: A college education or equivalent is preferred but not mandatory. Must communicate clearly and effectively in English with proper grammar and vocabulary.

Technical Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft WORD, EXCEL, and OUTLOOK.

Mathematical Skills: Advanced mathematical abilities, including understanding calculations related to square footage, GPM, cubic footage, and basic accounting principles.

Certifications: SPCC certified, ALCA Certified (or actively pursuing certification).

Driving Requirements: Must possess a valid AZ Driver's License, maintain an acceptable DMV record, and successfully complete the AAA Landscape driving assessment.

Work Environment: Typical hours are from early morning until 3-5 PM. Availability for after-hours meetings and occasional weekend work is required.

Education: An associate's or bachelor's degree in agricultural business, horticulture, or a related field is preferred but not essential.

Salary Considerations:

The size and profitability of the project portfolio in relation to budgeted margins are crucial. A large portfolio that does not meet profit margin targets may affect the targeted salary ranges.
