Montgomery & Associates (M&A) is on the lookout for a dedicated Hydrogeologist to become an integral part of our project team. This role involves working on significant environmental projects, focusing on groundwater and soil investigations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage field investigations, including monitoring and sampling of soil gas, groundwater, and indoor air.
  • Oversee routine groundwater monitoring programs to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Coordinate well permitting, drilling, design, construction, testing, sampling, rehabilitation, and abandonment activities.
  • Manage field teams and subcontractors to ensure project objectives are met.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies, municipalities, and water suppliers to facilitate project progress.
  • Analyze collected data and prepare comprehensive reports for stakeholders.
  • Provide direction, training, and mentorship to junior staff members.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in geology, hydrology, or engineering; a graduate degree is preferred.
  • A minimum of 7 years of relevant consulting experience.
  • Professional registration (P.G.) is preferred.
  • Experience in investigating subsurface hydrogeologic conditions and understanding contaminant transport.
  • Familiarity with pumping tests, groundwater models, and remediation technologies.
  • Experience with vapor intrusion and indoor air investigations is advantageous.
  • Proven project management skills.
  • Strong communication abilities, including technical writing and presenting in group settings.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to pass background checks and drug tests as required.
  • Eligibility to work and reside in the United States.
