Business Development Director, Global Life Sciences Group

Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute the marketing and business development strategies for the Global Life Sciences Group in collaboration with the group's leadership team.
• Create and drive the firm's messaging across all marketing channels, focusing on the Digital Health Industry Group.
• Collaborate with business development and communications teams to produce thought leadership pieces and collateral materials for the Digital Health Industry Group.
• Identify opportunities to introduce new services to clients and prospects, working closely with business development leads.
• Coordinate with the group's leadership team to maximize awareness of the group's strategy and objectives with key stakeholders within the firm.
• Develop strategies in collaboration with key attorneys to generate business for the firm within the given industries and existing clients.
• Oversee the development and delivery of profile-raising campaigns and initiatives through the relevant industries, including client events and targeted seminar programs.
• Identify cross-selling opportunities across industries and work with the practice leaders and wider BD team to expand client relationships.
• Coach lawyers on business and client development initiatives.
Requirements:
• Minimum of seven years of experience in a related field, with law firm or professional services business development experience required.
• Strong customer service ethic, with a willingness to handle large and small tasks.
• Exemplary communication skills, both verbal and written, with superior proofreading and fact-checking skills.
• Efficient, highly organized, and able to stay productive under pressure with tight deadlines.
• Proficient in the use of MS Office, including PowerPoint, Word, and Excel, with the ability to learn new software, systems, databases, and procedures quickly.
• Self-motivated, positive attitude, and a deep curiosity about technology and life sciences.
• Ability to work independently and in team environments, with occasional travel and attendance at key events and meetings.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required.
• The ideal location for this position is in our Palo Alto, San Francisco, or New York offices, but this is negotiable.
