Job Summary:

The Pine Street Inn is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Shelter Overnight Counselor to join our team. As a key member of our overnight staff, you will provide direct care and support to guests, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals experiencing homelessness.

Responsibilities:

* Provide emotional support and guidance to guests, responding to their needs in a timely and professional manner
* Assist guests in connecting with resources, including substance abuse, mental health, and medical services
* Enter data into the Homeless Management Information (HMIS) system and document reports in accordance with agency policy
* Collaborate with colleagues to ensure a smooth and efficient overnight operation

Requirements:

* High School diploma or GED
* Minimum one year of experience in the Human Services field
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
