POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Technical Support Specialist offers advanced technical assistance and user support for internal desktop systems utilized by team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Conducts routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of personal computer systems and peripheral devices across the organization.
- Delivers exceptional on-site support to colleagues, ensuring high-quality customer service.
- Engages in complex assignments requiring independent problem-solving and initiative to develop effective solutions.
- Determines appropriate methods and procedures for various tasks, exercising sound judgment within established guidelines.

PRIMARY DUTIES
- Assesses, installs, and integrates third-party software packages while enhancing existing systems.
- Performs repairs and preventative maintenance on personal computers and peripherals, including monitors, keyboards, printers, and storage devices.
- Installs software upgrades and ensures proper backup of applications.
- Troubleshoots and resolves desktop issues related to hardware, operating systems, and configurations to enhance employee productivity.
- Escalates unresolved issues to higher-level support when necessary.
- Prioritizes and updates colleagues on the status of reported problems.
- Maintains data integrity and security within the desktop environment.
- Communicates complex technical information effectively to both technical and non-technical staff.
- Documents and prepares progress reports for all service and repair activities in the existing ticketing system.
- Informs users of timelines for issue resolution.
- Represents the organization by participating in community and industry-related events.
- Cultivates and maintains positive relationships with colleagues to support integrated processes and customer service expectations.

REQUIREMENTS
- Associate's Degree with a minimum of 6 years of experience in troubleshooting computer hardware.
- At least 6 years of experience with Windows 7 Operating System for diagnosing and repairing PC issues.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Operating Systems and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve PC problems.
- Familiarity with basic networking concepts and network administration.
- Excellent analytical, planning, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Proficient in using personal computers, relevant software applications, and local area networks.
- A+ certification or Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification is preferred.
- Effective time management skills and the ability to work within established deadlines.

COMPENSATION
Starting base salary: $41.43 per hour. Compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location.
