Position Information:
The Nurse Aide I supports and incorporates WakeMed's Patient & Family Centered Care (PFCC) model by delivering patient care under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The four key concepts of PFCC are:

Dignity and Respect: Listen to and honor patient and family perspectives and choices;
Information Sharing: Communicate and share complete and unbiased information with patients and families in ways that are affirming and useful;
Participation: Patients and families are encouraged and supported in participating in care and decision-making at the level they choose;
Collaboration: Patients and families and the Nurse Aide I collaborate in the delivery of care.

The Nurse Aide I understands the needs of the organization and supports the mission, vision, values, and aspirational goals. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent and one year of clinical-related experience. A Nurse Aide I certification is required, and a phlebotomy certification is preferred. The Nurse Aide I will work weekends and evenings, as needed, and will be required to maintain vehicle operator insurability.

Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent;
One Year Clinical-Related Experience Preferred;
Nurse Aide I Certification Required;
Phlebotomy Certification Preferred;
Maintain Vehicle Operator Insurability Required.
