POSITION SUMMARY:

The Project Engineer role is an entry-level position with significant potential for career advancement within Lehman Daman. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including account managers, estimators, office managers, and superintendents across multiple projects. The Project Engineer will be primarily responsible for maintaining document control, which includes managing correspondence with owners, architects, subcontractors, and field personnel. Additionally, this position will support project management efforts and assist in the preparation of estimates.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure compliance with L/D safety protocols and procedures.
  • Engage with subcontractors and vendors throughout the bidding process.
  • Assist in defining project scope and objectives.
  • Contribute to project planning and execution of activities.
  • Manage documentation, including safety records, submittals, drawing logs, RFIs, transmittals, and meeting minutes.
  • Coordinate with subcontractors and superintendents effectively.
  • Travel to job sites as required by account managers or superintendents, which may include out-of-state assignments.

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Proficient in computer and smartphone applications, particularly Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to respond promptly to requests from clients and superintendents.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
  • Capability to work effectively in a remote setting.
  • A positive attitude and eagerness to learn are essential attributes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 1-2 years of experience in the construction field is preferred.
  • A minimum of an associate's degree in a construction or engineering-related discipline is required.
