Position Overview

MWH Constructors is in search of a seasoned Lead Construction Project Executive to oversee and guide significant wastewater treatment facility development initiatives. This role is pivotal in managing various project delivery methods, including integrated project delivery and traditional construction approaches.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize, plan, and allocate key field roles or subordinate project leaders, ensuring effective coordination with US Operations and other departmental heads.
  • Define project goals, policies, procedures, and performance benchmarks within the framework of corporate guidelines.
  • Establish and maintain communication with primary clients and architectural/engineering contacts to facilitate preconstruction and construction processes.
  • Supervise construction activities through administrative oversight of on-site managers and supervisors to ensure adherence to schedules and budgets; address potential issues and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Represent the organization in project discussions and assist in labor negotiations and strategic meetings.
  • Oversee financial elements of contracts, including fee payments and equipment rentals, to safeguard the company's interests while fostering positive client relationships.
  • Collaborate with project team members to finalize the Management Administration Plan prior to commencing field operations, utilizing provided planning tools and guidelines.
  • Ensure that all direct reports adhere to safe work practices and comply with company policies regarding health and safety.
  • Promote a culture of safety for oneself and colleagues by following established health and safety protocols.
  • Provide leadership and technical guidance to project engineers and field personnel.
  • Manage the procurement of subcontractors and materials through formal agreements.
  • Support change management, cost estimation, revenue forecasting, and scheduling efforts.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as assigned by the Regional Director.
QualificationsBasic Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or construction management, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 8-15 years of experience in construction, design, finance, and management, particularly in heavy civil or industrial projects.
  • 3-5 years of experience specifically in water or wastewater facility projects.
  • Ability to apply innovative management techniques to enhance team performance.
  • Comprehensive understanding of corporate and industry standards and their implications for project activities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential.
  • Strong business acumen with proven experience and sound judgment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Safety-focused with OSHA training.
  • Specialized experience in water/wastewater and advanced technology treatment projects.
  • Certification as a Design Build Professional (DBIA) is advantageous.
