Role Overview:

As a Blade Repair Services Technician Associate, you will be an integral member of our specialized blade repair team, responsible for the inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbine blades, thereby minimizing downtime and enhancing production efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all operational and maintenance tasks are conducted safely and in compliance with established policies and procedures, including the use of necessary safety gear.
  • Access wind turbines and perform composite repair and maintenance duties.
  • Transport essential tools and equipment to job sites efficiently.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of blade access mechanisms.
  • Support the team in performing composite repairs across various turbine manufacturers.
  • Facilitate the mobilization of repair equipment to designated sites.
  • Maintain proper storage and handling of all repair service equipment.
  • Perform safety and other wind farm-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Preferred: Associate degree in science or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in power generation operations and maintenance, specifically in blade repair.
  • Experience in renewable energy, particularly wind, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project development or related sectors in the power industry is advantageous.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in an organized manner.
  • Willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance from the job site.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) if required.
  • Understanding of wind turbine blade construction and repair processes.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and their applications.
  • Physical capability to work in confined spaces and handle equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools.
  • Strong initiative and ability to work independently.

This position requires occasional travel and the ability to work in various weather conditions and irregular hours.
