Role Overview:

As a Blade Repair Services Technician Associate, you will play a vital role in our internal blade repair service team, which is essential for maintaining, inspecting, and repairing turbine blades to minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all operational and maintenance tasks are executed safely and in accordance with established policies and procedures, including the use of necessary safety gear.
  • Access wind turbines to perform composite repairs and maintenance tasks.
  • Transport essential tools and equipment to job sites.
  • Assist in the setup and operation of blade access mechanisms.
  • Support a team in conducting composite repairs on various turbine models, including those from GE, Siemens, Vestas, and Nordex.
  • Oversee the mobilization and proper handling of all repair equipment.
  • Perform safety and other wind farm-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • An associate degree in a relevant field is preferred.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in power generation operations and maintenance, particularly in blade repair and related areas.
  • Experience in renewable energy, especially wind, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with project development or related sectors in the power industry is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Willingness to relocate within a reasonable distance from the job site.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Commercial Driver License (CDL) as required.
  • Understanding of wind turbine blade construction and repair processes.
  • Previous experience with Blade Access Platforms and rigging is preferred.
  • Knowledge of composite materials and their applications.
  • Physical capability to work in confined spaces and lift equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Teams.

This position requires travel to various job sites and the ability to work in diverse weather conditions.
