  • Annual Salary: $90,000.00 plus 10% Bonus (commensurate with experience)
  • Work Schedule: Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Onsite)

JOB FUNCTION:

Oversee and optimize the workflow for information release. Ensure compliance with policies and procedures to protect patient privacy and confidential health information.

Build and maintain productive relationships with both internal and external stakeholders through exceptional problem-solving, accountability, and follow-through. Collaborate closely with external partners and legal professionals to facilitate the release of sensitive information.

Evaluate and uphold departmental service quality, ensuring adherence to customer service level agreements and compliance with state and federal regulations, including HIPAA.

Compile and present financial data for the department. Investigate discrepancies in data and reporting, recommending solutions to enhance financial performance. Manage departmental budgets and expenses effectively.

Establish written objectives and career development plans for the Information Release team. Ensure performance management aligns with these goals. Assess and identify training needs within the department, participating in cross-training, on-the-job training, and onboarding for new hires.

REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:

A degree (Associate's or Bachelor's) or equivalent experience is required. R.H.I.T. credentials are mandatory; if you hold R.H.I.A., achieving RHIT will be necessary.

A minimum of 3 years in health information management, service industry, or healthcare experience is essential.

At least 3 years of management experience is required.

Experience in human resources management, budget development and administration, process development, and familiarity with electronic medical records and other automated systems within health information management is preferred. A strong customer service orientation is essential.

Familiarity with complex organizational structures and matrix management is beneficial.
