Job Description:

The Public Affairs Client Lead is a results-driven professional responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities within public affairs and policy-focused accounts. This role involves building new client relationships and expanding our market presence by delivering tailored solutions that align with client needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Public Affairs Intelligence: Stay up-to-date on current public policy news, public affairs challenges, and regulatory environments to inform business development strategies.
  • Lead Generation: Proactively identify and research potential growth accounts, generating leads through various channels, including networking, cold calling, and digital outreach.
  • Client Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in prospective accounts, positioning the company as a trusted partner.
  • Sales Presentations: Collaborate with internal teams to prepare and deliver engaging sales presentations that align with client needs and business objectives.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive new business development by managing the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract negotiation and closing.
  • Market Expansion: Stay informed on industry trends and market conditions to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with senior sales team members and internal partners to ensure alignment and support in driving new business initiatives.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activities, pipeline status, and key performance metrics, providing regular updates to sales management.
Qualifications:
  • 3-5 years of experience in B2B sales, preferably in a public affairs environment.
  • Experience in business development or marketing, preferably in a B2B environment, a plus.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly.
  • Self-motivated and eager to develop a successful career in sales.
  • Ability to learn and adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
