Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Public Affairs Specialist to join our team at DJI. As a key member of our public affairs team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a multi-state communications and engagement strategy to educate state/local legislators and other external stakeholders on the critical role DJI products have in advancing small business, public safety, and consumer demand in the United States.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive communications strategy to educate state/local legislators and other external stakeholders on the benefits of DJI products.
  • Assist with federal issues as required, working closely with our federal affairs team to advance DJI's business interests.
  • Protect and advance DJI's business interests in multiple sectors, serving as a subject matter expert on our products for state legislators and their staff.
  • Manage state consultants as needed, providing guidance and support to ensure successful outcomes.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in public affairs, communications, or a related field, with a proven track record of success in developing and implementing effective communications strategies.
  • Strong networking skills with the ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels, including government officials, media, partners, and the public.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex issues clearly and effectively.
  • Proficiency in creating compelling content for various platforms, including press releases, speeches, social media, and internal communications.
  • Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and communicate with diverse groups.
  • Collaborative team player with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Compensation

$85,000 USD/year - $170,000 USD/year
