Job Title: Senior Training Manager, Oncology

AbbVie is seeking a highly skilled Senior Training Manager, Oncology to join our team. As a key member of our Commercial organization, you will be responsible for developing and leading sales training for our Oncology Franchise A, supporting Epkinly.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain subject matter expertise for disease states, products, and therapeutic areas
  • Develop and execute training programs and initiatives with minimal guidance
  • Design and enhance current curriculum to meet the needs of the Commercial organization
  • Coordinate with Marketing, Legal, Compliance, Medical, and Regulatory to ensure accuracy of medical content and compliance with promotional policies for training materials
  • Manage vendors when developing training content and executing contract requirements
  • Perform project management functions during the development of training content
  • Lead training meetings, including planning, logistics management, vendor monitoring, and participant conduct
  • Partner with Marketing and Sales to develop training that meets brand objectives and coordinate the rollout of training materials for field colleagues
  • Influence and lead without authority by collaborating with cross-functional teams to provide highly effective, timely, innovative, and relevant training solutions
  • Collaborate with external partners to provide best-in-class training deliverables
  • Collaborate with our partner company colleagues to ensure alignment of training strategy and tactics
  • Build trust and credibility with Business Partners through regular interaction and is evidenced by feedback and proven working partnerships
  • Act as a resource for field sales through active participation in all sales meetings and routine field rides
  • Design and lead the execution of training work sessions at National Sales/POA Meetings
  • Develop and maintain facilitation skills expertise in support of training content delivery
  • Continually assess the organization's training needs for both clinical fluency and development competencies and provide appropriate feedback for innovation
Requirements:
  • Requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree; Master's Degree preferred
  • 5+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience
  • Training, Marketing, or Sales experience in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry preferred
  • Knowledge of Hematology/Oncology disease areas highly preferred
  • Experience developing training tools to enable the enhancement of clinical acumen is a plus
  • Knowledge of adult learning principles, training design concepts, and platforms is a plus
  • Exceptional ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholders at different levels
  • High level of professionalism and the ability to excel in a complex cross-functional environment
  • Ability to work in an unstructured environment
  • Obtains strategic insight to appropriately dedicate time to important initiatives
  • Exceptional oral presentation skills
  • Excellent learning, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to self-motivate and perform effectively with minimal supervision
  • Expertise with technology platforms (iPad) and programs (e.g., MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Excel) is highly desirable
