Job Description

Michael Page is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Controller to join their team in Libertyville, IL. As a key member of the Accounting and Finance team, you will be responsible for managing and overseeing the company's accounting operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage and oversee the company's accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
  • Supervise financial activities such as budgeting, forecasting, and compliance to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Oversee the preparation of periodic financial reports, ensuring they comply with generally accepted accounting principles.
  • Support the company's overall growth strategy by providing financial analysis and recommendations.
  • Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures, implementing controls to minimize risk in accounting transactions.
  • Provide financial analysis focusing on capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations.
  • Manage inventory and purchase forecasts, ensuring accurate and timely reporting.
  • Oversee cash flow management, ensuring the company's financial stability and liquidity.
  • Administer ERP and related IT systems, ensuring seamless integration and data accuracy.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and supply necessary information for the annual audit.
  • Manage the bank line of credit, including preparing periodic borrowing base reports.
  • Ensure compliance with bank and other financial partner requirements.
  • File quarterly and annual taxes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, maintaining a strong reputation for the company.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in Accounting and Finance, with 2+ years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Experience in the manufacturing or distribution sector is a plus.
  • Experience with Inventory Accounting and ERP implementation is highly desirable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong time management and organizational skills.
