CLO TRADING SPECIALIST
The Ladders is on the lookout for a driven and analytical professional to join our team as a CLO Trading Specialist. This position is well-suited for recent graduates from prestigious universities with degrees in technical disciplines such as mathematics, physics, engineering, or quantitative finance. A strong interest in financial markets and some programming experience are vital for this role.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Market Analysis: Continuously monitor and evaluate the CLO and credit markets, including both primary and secondary markets. Stay informed on market trends, spreads, and performance metrics.
  • Trading Assistance: Support senior traders in executing trades, managing portfolios, and refining trading strategies.
  • Data Management: Gather, organize, and analyze market data to pinpoint trading opportunities and risks. Maintain and enhance trading models and databases.
  • Reporting: Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports on market developments, trade performance, and risk evaluations.
  • Research: Conduct thorough research on market conditions, new issuances, refinancing activities, and the effects of macroeconomic factors.
  • Programming: Apply programming skills to create and improve trading tools, automate data analysis tasks, and boost trading efficiency.
  • Collaboration: Partner closely with other analysts, traders, and portfolio managers to support trading operations and contribute to the overall investment strategy.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in mathematics, physics, engineering, quantitative finance, or a related technical field from a leading university.
  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with programming languages such as Python or R is advantageous but not mandatory. Experience in data analysis and financial modeling is beneficial.
  • Market Acumen: A strong interest in and understanding of financial markets, particularly in fixed income and structured products.
  • Analytical Proficiency: Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and market trends.
  • Attention to Detail: High level of precision and attention to detail in data analysis and report generation.
  • Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication abilities. Capable of presenting complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team setting and collaborate with colleagues across various functions.
  • Adaptability: Capacity to excel in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
