Job Overview

The position of Lead Cloud Security Engineer is crucial for enhancing our security framework within the organization. This role involves the strategic implementation, management, and refinement of security measures across our infrastructure, safeguarding sensitive information from various threats and vulnerabilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Architect and enforce security protocols and best practices tailored for AWS infrastructure.
  • Create and sustain infrastructure-as-code templates (using CloudFormation, Terraform) that adhere to security standards.
  • Oversee vulnerability scanning and management processes for AWS environments and Kubernetes clusters.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to embed security within CI/CD workflows and automate security validations.
  • Conduct thorough security evaluations and penetration tests on AWS infrastructures and Kubernetes environments.
  • Formulate and uphold security policies, procedures, and guidelines for AWS and Kubernetes operations.
  • Monitor security incidents and alerts related to infrastructure security and respond appropriately.
  • Offer technical support and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Keep abreast of the latest trends, threats, and best practices in cloud security.
  • Champion innovation and continuous enhancement of infrastructure security methodologies and tools.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum of 8 years in infrastructure security, particularly in cloud security (AWS).
  • Extensive knowledge in securing AWS services (such as EC2, S3, IAM, VPC) and Kubernetes.
  • Proficient in infrastructure-as-code methodologies and tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Experience in vulnerability scanning, management, and remediation within cloud settings.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Comprehensive understanding of security best practices for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and analytical capabilities.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor less experienced team members.
  • Enthusiastic about keeping current with the latest cloud security technologies and methodologies.
  • Eligible to work in the United States.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or equivalent).
  • Understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
  • Experience in the Bitcoin sector is a plus.
