Required Skills

The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in developing the essential components for transitioning large-scale applications from private to public cloud environments. This includes:

  • Expertise in automation and infrastructure management tailored for application development settings.
  • Proficiency in establishing and maintaining cloud pipelines.
  • Familiarity with application development frameworks such as React, Angular, Spring, and Node, along with experience in migrating applications to public cloud platforms.
  • Knowledge of cloud service providers like AWS, Azure, or Private Cloud, focusing on app hosting, data storage, serverless computing, and monitoring solutions.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes) for scalable application deployments.
  • Understanding of application security best practices, encryption standards, and secure coding guidelines across various platforms including web, API, iOS, and Android.
  • Knowledge of authentication mechanisms, API security, and data protection standards (e.g., OWASP Top 10, GDPR, HIPAA).
  • Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automating infrastructure tasks.
  • Experience in optimizing cloud service performance and cost.
  • A proven history of leading cloud migration projects and enhancing development processes.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams including developers, QA engineers, product managers, and IT operations.
  • A commitment to continuous learning and staying abreast of industry trends.
Additional Responsibilities

Reporting to the Head of Digital Cloud/API, the Cloud Solutions Architect will be instrumental in fostering innovation and growth within the Banking Solutions sector. Key responsibilities include:

  • Establishing foundational structures to facilitate the migration of digital banking applications to public cloud environments.
  • Designing and maintaining infrastructure as code (IaC) solutions for application deployment and performance enhancement.
  • Collaborating with development teams to integrate best practices into the application development lifecycle.
  • Defining and enforcing security protocols for applications, including code scanning and vulnerability assessments.
  • Implementing and managing cloud-based solutions to ensure scalability and reliability.
  • Leading the adoption of containerization technologies for consistent deployment across various stages.
  • Monitoring key performance metrics and providing insights for continuous improvement.
  • Staying informed about industry advancements and evaluating their relevance to enhance development processes.
  • Communicating effectively with stakeholders to align cloud initiatives with business objectives.
