Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Implement Security Controls: Develop and implement security controls and best practices for AWS infrastructure, ensuring the protection of sensitive data and information from potential threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code Expertise: Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code templates (CloudFormation, Terraform) with security best practices, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems.
  • Vulnerability Management: Implement and manage vulnerability scanning and management processes for AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, ensuring the identification and remediation of potential security threats.
  • Security Integration: Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and automate security checks, ensuring the security and integrity of our systems.
  • Security Assessments: Conduct security assessments and penetration testing of AWS infrastructure and Kubernetes clusters, identifying potential security vulnerabilities and recommending remediation strategies.
  • Security Policies: Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and guidelines for AWS and Kubernetes, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Incident Response: Monitor and respond to security incidents and alerts related to infrastructure security, ensuring the prompt and effective resolution of security threats.
  • Team Leadership: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, ensuring the development of their skills and expertise.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay current with the latest cloud security trends, threats, and best practices, ensuring the continued security and integrity of our systems.
  • Process Improvement: Drive innovation and continuous improvement of infrastructure security processes and tools, ensuring the scalability and reliability of our systems.

Required Qualifications:

  • 8+ Years of Experience: 8+ years of experience in infrastructure security, with a focus on cloud security (AWS).
  • Cloud Security Expertise: Deep expertise in securing AWS services (EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, etc.) and Kubernetes.
  • Infrastructure-as-Code Expertise: Strong knowledge of infrastructure-as-code practices and tools (CloudFormation, Terraform).
  • Vulnerability Management: Experience with vulnerability scanning, management, and remediation in cloud environments.
  • Containerization and Orchestration: Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Security Best Practices: Solid understanding of security best practices for CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps.
  • Problem-Solving and Communication: Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with strong communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Leadership and Mentorship: Ability to lead and mentor junior team members.
  • Industry Knowledge: Passionate about staying up-to-date with the latest cloud security technologies and best practices.
  • Work Authorization: Authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to Have:

  • Relevant Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant Certifications: Relevant security certifications (CISSP, CISM, CCSP, or similar).
  • Cloud Security Experience: Familiarity with cloud security and DevSecOps practices.
  • Bitcoin Experience: You have experience working in the Bitcoin space.
