Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at College Fresh, Inc. as a Food Service Manager. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the entire food service program of assigned College Fresh accounts, ensuring that our commitment to fresh, made-from-scratch food and outstanding customer service is consistently met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement menus that meet the dietary needs and preferences of our clients, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and freshness.
  • Manage kitchen operations, including ordering, stocking, and preparing food, as well as maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Lead a team of culinary staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure that our high standards are met.
  • Manage budgets, invoices, and inventory, ensuring that our financial resources are utilized efficiently and effectively.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to client needs and concerns in a prompt, professional, and courteous manner.
  • Collaborate with our Regional Manager to develop and implement strategies for improving our food service programs and increasing customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Culinary Arts degree and/or a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role, with a proven track record of success in managing kitchen operations and leading a team.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a current Servsafe Food Protection Manager certificate or equivalent, from a nationally recognized or approved certification program.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, staff, and management.
  • Ability to maintain a valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record, as well as proof of individual auto insurance as required by our safe driver policy.
Working Conditions

This role operates in a kitchen environment, with frequent exposure to heat, steam, fire, and noise. The employee is occasionally required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 30 pounds or less. The position requires the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
