**Job Summary:**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Food Fight Inc. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our kitchen, ensuring that all food is prepared to the highest standards of quality and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of all back-of-the-house personnel, including food preparation, kitchen, and storeroom areas.
  • Hire, train, and evaluate back-of-the-house personnel to ensure that they meet the high standards of our company.
  • Plan and participate in menu planning and food production to control costs and ensure that all food meets our quality standards.
  • Ensure that all recipes, food preparations, and food presentations meet our company's specifications and commitment to quality.
  • Maintain a safe, orderly, and sanitary work environment, including food preparation, organized kitchen, and storeroom areas.
  • Purchase food items, supplies, and equipment, and receive and verify product deliveries.
  • Interview, hire, and train employees to company standards, and complete proper employee paperwork and evaluations.
  • Participate in menu planning and food production, and portion food items to control food costs.
  • Work with the management team to plan restaurant events and set excellent customer service and hospitality standards.
  • Manage staffing levels throughout the shift, and attend all scheduled employee meetings and bring suggestions for improvement.
  • Oversee kitchen labor and food cost to budgetary requirements.

Requirements:

  • At least 3 years of work experience as a cook.
  • At least 2 years of experience leading the kitchen team.
  • Creative, patient, good communicator, and quick thinker.
  • ServSafe certification is a plus.
  • Bilingual (English-English) is a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to stand on your feet for several hours.
  • Ability to lift at least 50 lbs.
