Job Overview

As a Senior Food Service Operations Leader, you will oversee cash management, customer relations, cost efficiency, and the maintenance of inventory and sales documentation across various dining concepts within a large cafeteria or a comprehensive convenience store operation. You will provide guidance and support to your team, ensuring high standards of service and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Lead, mentor, and train food service staff; delegate tasks and monitor the successful completion of responsibilities.
2. Address customer service inquiries promptly and effectively, ensuring smooth operations in the absence of management.
3. Manage a cash fund for transaction purposes, ensuring accurate completion of daily cash reports by staff. Verify cash reconciliations at the end of shifts and prepare deposits for secure transport.
4. Utilize cash registers and calculators; manage the opening and closing procedures for cash handling.
5. Ensure the daily opening and closing of the facility, prioritizing safety and security protocols.
6. Maintain proficiency with electronic point-of-sale (POS) systems, including cash registers and scanners, along with basic troubleshooting.
7. Familiarize yourself with inventory management systems, handling transfers, requisitions, and physical inventory counts.
8. Assist in creating work schedules and resolving any scheduling conflicts; oversee employee break times.
9. Provide constructive feedback to management regarding the performance of food service personnel to facilitate fair evaluations.
10. Undertake additional related tasks as required.

Qualifications

Required:
1. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a food service role or a related field.

Preferred:
1. 4-5 years of experience in the food industry is preferred.
