Chief Buildings Sales Engineer Job Description

Chief Buildings is seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for communicating complex technical information to customers and clients, focusing on how our products can be used to solve specific challenges and meet stakeholder needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process building estimates and components in an accurate and timely manner
  • Maintain a quote backlog, work at a fast pace, and assist others when possible
  • Read architectural plans and specifications
  • Review customer sketches versus quote request forms and question/clarify any variances that may occur
  • Create special pricing for conditions not covered by our standard pricing programs
  • Assist builders or district managers with preliminary project layouts to lead them towards the most economical and efficient design
Qualifications and Skill Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering required
  • Metal building experience a plus. Entry-level candidates may also receive consideration, as we offer on-the-job training
