Job Title: Sales Engineer

At Synectics, we are seeking a highly skilled Sales Engineer to join our team. As a Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for selling automotive products while ensuring attention to general sales tasks that affect product lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain multilevel internal and external contacts to provide customer support for area of responsibility.
  • Service customers in accordance with organizational standards and direction.
  • Sell existing products and introduce new product and technology concepts to customers.
  • Interface with internal and external contacts regarding product specifications, cost/price, timing, etc.
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities.
  • Perform market research as necessary.
  • Assist internal engineering groups in developing cost information necessary to determine new product pricing.
  • Suggest product modifications to ensure current and future products meet customers' needs.
  • Understand all products responsible for, including form, fit, and function, and benchmark to the competition.
  • Maintain trip and sales reports, as well as customer database.
  • Report out to Senior Management on opportunity, level of confidence, and sales data.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business or related field.
  • Must have a complete understanding and working knowledge of all job-related policies, procedures, and instructions.
  • Must be able to oversee the management of programs and take responsibility for critical programs based on large sales volume and/or strategic importance.
  • Must be able to develop long-term strategies to meet future business needs and growth opportunities.
  • Must have CNC machining experience/background.
  • Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with internal and external contacts and represent the Company in a professional manner when performing job duties.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills to exercise influence at various levels and functions.
  • Strong initiative; sense of ownership and responsibility.
  • Superior time management and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and employee relations ability.
  • Solid problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently or in a group with supervision.
