Position Overview

As a vital component of the Department of Justice, the Telecommunications Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in ensuring effective communication systems that support the agency's mission of justice for all. Key Responsibilities
  • Communication Infrastructure Management: Oversee the establishment and maintenance of cellular, digital, radio, satellite, and analog communication systems. Ensure operational support technologies, including phones and mobile networks, are effectively implemented and secure.
  • Budget and Financial Oversight: Manage the development of funding requirements for the telecommunications program, encompassing both current and long-term financial planning.
  • Contractual Performance Monitoring: Develop and maintain systems to evaluate and monitor the performance of contracts, focusing on delivery, cost, and progress.
  • Project Development Advisory: Serve as a key advisor during the initial phases of project development, conducting feasibility studies and market research to identify advancements in technology.
  • Technology Management: Ensure the reliability and utilization of technology, including risk management studies and modifications to telecommunications systems.
Qualifications

Applicants must be U.S. Citizens and meet all qualification requirements by the closing date of this announcement. A valid motor vehicle operator's license is required. Candidates should possess:

  • Education: A degree in electrical or electronic engineering, telecommunications management, or related fields.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in evaluating and managing communication systems, with a focus on current developments in technology.
