Job Summary

The Pro Shop Supervisor is a key member of the NOVA Parks team, responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the golf pro shop and clubhouse. This role requires a strong focus on customer service, inventory management, and staff supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise the opening and closing of the facility, ensuring all necessary tasks are completed.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering and maintaining supplies.
  • Handle cash transactions and perform bank deposits.
  • Supervise and train seasonal employees and volunteers.
  • Assist with inventory controls and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Ensure compliance with NOVA Parks safety standards and business practices.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to inquiries and resolving issues.
  • Assist with golf tournaments and special events.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records.
  • Operate and manage the golf course tee sheet and point of sale system.
  • Attend staff meetings and participate in in-service training.
Requirements
  • Must be at least 21 years old (Virginia Department of Alcoholic Beverage Control requirement).
  • High school diploma and two years of progressively responsible experience in customer service, golf course management, or a related field.
  • Certification in the "Training for Intervention Program" (TIPS) for serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Working knowledge of the game of golf and facility operations.
  • Experience in retail merchandise management.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including early and late hours, weekends, and holidays.
