Educational Background and Experience Requirements

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A minimum of 1 year of experience in quality inspection or 2 years of experience in Gulfstream Aerospace manufacturing is essential. Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace background. Completion of a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days is required. Role Objective : In a collaborative environment, execute all responsibilities in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase efficiently to guarantee that aircraft components, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations conform to type design specifications.

Job Responsibilities

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: Core Functions: Conduct inspection tasks using engineering schematics and orders, route cards, inspection documentation, work instructions, technical specifications, quality assurance procedures, and other relevant materials. Execute preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structures and systems, confirm operational functionality, perform final inspections, check for Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and validate documentation. Observe, confirm, and record specified manufacturing process steps. Carry out conformity/first article inspections to ensure adherence to FAA-approved protocols. Ensure the correct utilization and storage of tools and equipment in the work area. Perform tasks in a manner that promotes personal and collective health and safety, product safety, and encourages risk mitigation; actively engage in safety-related incident investigations, promptly report workplace hazards, and propose control measures; collaborate and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the local Safety program. Additional Responsibilities: Offer technical assistance to manufacturing staff. Conduct area inspections to verify compliance with relevant standards and specifications. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Undertake other duties as assigned. Other Qualifications: Proficient understanding of shop mathematics, and capable of reading and interpreting CATIA or blueprints. Skilled in the use of basic shop tools and equipment.
