Educational and Experience Criteria

A High School Diploma or GED is mandatory. A minimum of 1 year of quality inspection experience or 2 years of manufacturing experience within Gulfstream Aerospace is required. Preference will be given to candidates with 2 years of manufacturing experience or equivalent aerospace background. Completion of a Formal Inspection Training Program within 90 days is necessary. Role Objective : In a collaborative environment, execute all responsibilities in Initial Phase Manufacturing, Composites, and Final Phase efficiently to guarantee that aircraft components, sub-assemblies, major assemblies, and installations conform to design specifications.

Job Responsibilities

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Key Functions: Conduct inspection tasks using engineering drawings, route cards, inspection travelers, work instructions, technical specifications, quality assurance procedures, and other relevant documentation. Carry out preliminary and progressive inspections of aircraft structures and systems, confirm operational functionality, perform final inspections, check for Foreign Object Damage (FOD), and validate documentation. Observe, confirm, and record designated manufacturing process steps. Execute conformity and first article inspections to ensure adherence to FAA-approved protocols. Ensure appropriate usage and storage of tools and equipment in the work area. Perform duties in a manner that promotes personal and colleague health and safety, product safety, and risk mitigation; actively engage in safety-related investigations, promptly report workplace hazards, and suggest control measures; contribute to the success of the local Safety program. Additional Responsibilities: Offer technical assistance to manufacturing staff. Conduct area inspections to verify compliance with relevant standards and specifications. Engage in continuous improvement initiatives. Undertake other assigned tasks as needed. Other Qualifications: Familiarity with shop mathematics, CATIA, or blueprint reading and interpretation. Proficient in utilizing basic shop tools and equipment.
