Position: A&P Airworthiness Inspector
Key Qualifications:
- Second shift role - Monday to Thursday.
- Experience with large cabin Gulfstream aircraft is advantageous.
- Initial Flight Safety certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in confined spaces occasionally is required.
Essential Duties:
- Oversee all Quality Control inspections for aircraft and components within the Repair Station.
- Perform inspections on aircraft, engines, and component repairs to confirm compliance with FAA approved data.
- Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection tasks during aircraft maintenance or modifications.
- Maintain precise and organized records of all work conducted on aircraft and components.
- Collaborate with RTS to ensure timely and accurate aircraft record production.
- Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to approval for return to service.
- Verify that aircraft and components are airworthy before any flight operations.
- Guide technicians on effective documentation practices.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Engage with management to clarify work assignments and delivery timelines.
- Continuously assess Repair Station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
- Execute FAA mandated conformity inspections and compile certification data for FAA approval.
- May involve flight tests on aircraft as part of aircraft certification and final phase testing.
Other Requirements:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Strong computer proficiency.
- Willingness to work various shifts.
- Capability to climb ladders and stairs, work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
