Position: A&P Airworthiness Inspector

Key Qualifications:

  • Second shift role - Monday to Thursday.
  • Experience with large cabin Gulfstream aircraft is advantageous.
  • Initial Flight Safety certification preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces occasionally is required.
Educational Background and ExperienceA High School Diploma or GED is essential. An Airframe and Powerplant License is mandatory. A minimum of 4 years of experience with large or mid-size aircraft is required. Proficiency in Federal Aviation Regulations, FAA documentation, blueprint interpretation, shop mathematics, and Quality Control Procedures is necessary. Role Objective: The A&P Airworthiness Inspector conducts thorough inspections of aircraft and components, ensuring that all workmanship adheres to quality standards, and that aircraft are returned to service in a condition that meets airworthiness criteria, with all necessary documentation accurately completed and filed.Core Responsibilities

Essential Duties:

  1. Oversee all Quality Control inspections for aircraft and components within the Repair Station.
  2. Perform inspections on aircraft, engines, and component repairs to confirm compliance with FAA approved data.
  3. Coordinate mechanical, electrical, and inspection tasks during aircraft maintenance or modifications.
  4. Maintain precise and organized records of all work conducted on aircraft and components.
  5. Collaborate with RTS to ensure timely and accurate aircraft record production.
  6. Conduct audits of maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to approval for return to service.
  7. Verify that aircraft and components are airworthy before any flight operations.
  8. Guide technicians on effective documentation practices.

Additional Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with management to clarify work assignments and delivery timelines.
  2. Continuously assess Repair Station compliance with FAR Part 145 and the FAA accepted Repair Station and Quality Control Manual.
  3. Execute FAA mandated conformity inspections and compile certification data for FAA approval.
  4. May involve flight tests on aircraft as part of aircraft certification and final phase testing.

Other Requirements:

  1. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  2. Strong computer proficiency.
  3. Willingness to work various shifts.
  4. Capability to climb ladders and stairs, work in restricted spaces, and lift up to 40 lbs.
  5. Must be proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the English language.
