Position Summary: We are seeking a skilled Building Automation System (BAS) Project Manager who will oversee the successful execution of BAS projects, ensuring they are completed within the established timeline, budget, and scope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze project specifications and drawings to determine project objectives.
  • Create and manage project schedules while coordinating with team members to address urgent installation requirements.
  • Oversee procurement of necessary materials and supplies for project completion.
  • Engage in project cost reviews and assess plans and specifications.
  • Provide technical support, product research, and documentation for applications.
  • Assist in the selection and contracting of subcontractors.
  • Conduct orientation sessions for installation teams and ensure all project documentation is distributed.
  • Maintain communication with architects, engineers, and suppliers to guarantee timely project completion.
  • Monitor project resources and progress, addressing quality control issues as they arise.
  • Document any project events that may affect timelines or scope.
  • Identify opportunities for project-specific change orders.
  • Coordinate billing processes, including subcontractor invoicing, with the accounting team.
  • Schedule and manage commissioning resources, ensuring all documentation is completed.
  • Facilitate the return of project mark-ups for as-built documentation.
  • Complete all necessary close-out documentation for projects.
  • Participate in project manager strategy meetings and adhere to safety policies.
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to enhance personal and company growth.
Qualifications:

To excel in this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in HVAC and/or BAS.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • A valid driver's license and the ability to drive at various times.
  • OSHA 30-hour Construction Safety and Health certification (preferred).
Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong analytical and leadership capabilities.
  • Effective time management skills to handle multiple client relationships.
  • Excellent organizational skills for managing time and resources efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Clear communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Basic mathematical skills for calculations and measurements.
  • Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to draw valid conclusions.
  • Knowledge of electrical theory and the National Electrical Code.
  • High attention to detail.
