Position Summary:
As a National Video Media Buyer, you will be responsible for negotiating, acquiring, and managing National Video media purchases.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise, train, and guide Assistant Negotiators.
  • Support media trainees within the department.
  • Negotiate and secure National Video scatter/upfront initiatives.
  • Stay informed about market trends through industry meetings and publications.
  • Ensure project delivery aligns with target demographics.
  • Manage media schedules in accordance with each client's purchasing guidelines.
  • Assist in the oversight of timelines and execution of value-added opportunities.
  • Confirm purchases, manage schedules, budgets, and reconcile network billing.
  • Track the performance of media buys using current ratings. Secure makegoods and/or audience deficiency units for underperformance.
  • Contribute to post-campaign analysis reports.
  • Adhere to deadlines for purchases, analyses, and assigned projects; assist the team in establishing project timelines.
  • Maintain regular communication with sales representatives and negotiate to uphold or enhance the integrity of the media buys.
  • Inform supervisors about market conditions, unique opportunities, and potential schedule disruptions.
  • Assist in developing cost per points, competitive assessments, and group initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in an agency setting is highly desirable.
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience in a national media investment buying role.
  • Proficient in negotiating TV dayparts and online video.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
  • Detail-oriented, capable of multitasking, and thriving under tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with Media Ocean software (DDS, MBOX) is preferred.
