At Advance Local Media LLC, we're seeking a talented Photo Journalist to join our team. As a key member of our multimedia department, you'll play a crucial role in capturing the essence of Alabama's diverse stories through powerful photos and videos.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality visual content that showcases the beauty and complexity of Alabama's communities

• Collaborate with our editorial team to develop compelling storylines and narratives

• Utilize camera equipment, image editing software, and video shooting/editing skills to produce engaging multimedia content

• Conduct thorough research to ensure accuracy and depth in your visual stories

• Tailor content to resonate with diverse audiences and enhance viewer engagement

Requirements

• A degree in journalism or communications, or equivalent education or work experience in photojournalism and visual storytelling

• Minimum two years experience and demonstrated proficiency with camera equipment, image editing software, and video shooting/editing

• Ability to operate and obtain drone certification is preferred

• Strong narrative skills and ability to convey stories through images, video, and text

• Proactive approach to work under deadline pressure, prioritizing tasks effectively and staying updated on industry advances

• Proficiency in delivering content across various digital platforms and understanding audience engagement methods
