Global Events Team
The Global Events Team at Oracle plays a crucial role in delivering a variety of customer engagement experiences. These include flagship global programs, digital and hybrid events, third-party activations, and more, all aimed at connecting with Oracle's customers, partners, and industry leaders.
Role Overview
As the Head of Event Operations, you will report directly to the Senior Director of Corporate Events. Your primary responsibility will be to oversee the planning, support, and execution of both digital and in-person events.
This role emphasizes leading a dedicated team focused on providing exceptional first-touch experiences for global events. You will manage the pre-event preparations and onsite execution, ensuring excellence in content operations, speaker services, registration, attendee management, and demo operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of skilled professionals in content operations, registration, and event management.
- Guide the team in scaling services across Oracle's global event portfolio.
- Drive the development of learning infrastructure through the event content and demo operations team.
- Oversee the registration team to enhance and maintain best-in-class registration experiences.
- Collaborate with agency partners throughout the event development and delivery process.
- Work closely with colleagues and leadership to ensure seamless planning and execution of global events.
- Foster strong, collaborative relationships across teams.
- Prepare and present a data-driven vision for Event Operations.
Qualifications
- 10-12+ years of experience in creating cohesive event experiences within a complex B2B environment.
- 5-7+ years of experience managing cross-functional event teams.
- A passion for calculated risk-taking while fostering consensus among teams.
- Ability to thrive as part of a large, sophisticated virtual team.
- Proficiency in balancing strategic objectives with day-to-day operations.
- Respect for diverse perspectives and commitment to integrity and fairness.
- Direct management experience with attendee-facing registration and event content management systems.
- Proficient in professional applications such as Zoom, Excel, Word, and Outlook.
Travel Requirements
This position may require some domestic and international travel, approximately 25% of the year.
