Sandvik, a leading global entity in mining and rock excavation, is seeking a Distribution-Centric Parts and Service Sales Representative (PSSR).

The core responsibility of this position is to drive sales within the Distribution Channel through direct interaction with our dealers. The selected candidate will cultivate a robust pipeline of new business opportunities, enhance relationships with dealers and end-customers, and optimize sales to the designated accounts. This role necessitates travel across the specified region and will operate from a home office situated near a major regional airport.

We are in search of a remote employee located in the Western United States region.

Key Responsibilities
Essential Duties

  • Strategic Execution: Implement the Parts and Service action plan to enhance profitable parts and service sales across all available portfolios.
  • Territory Development: Elevate Sandvik brand and product visibility within the region by engaging with various stakeholders in the dealer sales channel. Acquire a comprehensive understanding of the business landscape and market dynamics within the assigned territory.
  • Fleet Management: Conduct gap analysis on the current fleet, collaborating with Product Specialists to pinpoint sales opportunities. Ensure fleet status and machine hours are accurately maintained in the system for the assigned accounts and/or territory.
  • Customer Engagement: Forge high-level relationships with key business decision-makers and identify their needs and challenges. Consult with dealers regarding product offerings for Sandvik end users.
  • Effective Communication: Must convey ideas and recommendations clearly across product, industry, dealer, and customer audiences to foster understanding and acceptance.
  • Relationship Management: Possess strong technical knowledge, leadership capabilities, financial insight, and the ability to navigate a diverse and potentially challenging environment. Must effectively collaborate with individuals from various backgrounds and cultures, both internally and externally, demonstrating the capacity to influence and resolve conflicts.
  • Training and Development: Identify and map training and development needs, collaborating with internal Sandvik personnel to ensure those needs are addressed.
Additional Responsibilities:
  • Regularly follow up on pending parts orders and backorders with dealers and customers.
  • Assist in resolving machine downtime issues.
  • Propose alternative solutions when necessary to enhance dealer and customer satisfaction and their business outcomes.
  • Document, update, maintain, and close cases and opportunities in Salesforce, ensuring dealer inquiries are recorded.
  • Adhere to standard processes and procedures as outlined in the Parts SOP and other relevant policies.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in a technical sales role.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with management, technical, and non-technical personnel.
  • Polished and confident presenter with outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite and Salesforce.
  • Highly organized, self-driven, and an enthusiastic problem solver capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% within the sales region or to Sandvik internal meetings and training sessions.
