Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee Plant Operations, Maintenance, Environmental Services, Safety, and Security functions while adhering to established standards, PAM Health policies, and budgetary constraints.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintain the facility and equipment to ensure compliance with all aspects of the environment of care, Life Safety Code, and interim Life Safety Code.
Qualifications:
Education and Training: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a community electrical maintenance license may be necessary. A bachelor’s degree is preferred. Certification as a Certified Healthcare Facility Manager (CHFM) is advantageous.
Experience: A minimum of five years of relevant experience is required, with prior hospital maintenance experience essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Familiarity with JACHO, NFPA, and OSHA regulations.
- Comprehensive understanding of Plant Operations equipment usage and maintenance.
- Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, policies, procedures, and technical documents.
- Proficient in writing routine reports and correspondence.
- Capability to manage departmental budgets effectively.
- Ability to apply logical reasoning to follow instructions in various formats.
- Skill in addressing problems involving multiple concrete variables in standardized situations.
- Working knowledge of fire alarm systems and other life safety equipment.
- Experience in implementing and maintaining a thorough preventive maintenance program.
- Proficient computer skills for managing software applications and office tasks.
